DIRECTIONS/ACTIVITY
1. Before riding, measure the height of the tallest hill. Measure the duration of the ride.
2. While riding, measure the acceleration at the bottom of the tallest hill by using the vertical accelerometer.
3. Calculate the average speed of the ride.
4. Calculate the velocity at the bottom of the tallest hill, using the formula for transfer of energy.
EXTENSIONS/ENRICHMENT
1. Identify at least three sources of friction in the ride.
